[10.28.2020] October Update of Chaos Lords

Lords and Ladies!

We are pleased to present you the update of Chaos Lords to version 1.17. This time we have prepared a significant set of improvements and changes: reworked the economy of the Soul Stones, introduced equipment sets into the game, added spectacularity to your weapons and armor, and also made a new Tier of Boss items, even more powerful and destructive!

But what is it? Outside the window, yellow leaves are falling, creepy muzzles are carved on pumpkins, and the number of skeletons, zombies and witches has increased greatly ?! Most likely it means that the time has come for one spooky holiday!

That’s right, the first seasonal event has started in the game — Halloween! Delicious candies, pumpkins with prizes and unique themed equipment are waiting for you.

In addition, on the occasion of these “creepy” changes, we are introducing a new equally creepy epic hero.

But let’s talk about everything in more detail below.

See you in Tartesia, heroes!

  • Boss Equipment Tiers

  • Soul Stones Changes
  • Visual changes to Legendary items and Boss equipment
  • Other changes

Equipment Sets

Let’s start with the global changes to the game that affect the gameplay.
At the moment, Chaos Lords has a lot of different equipment from ordinary boots to legendary weapons. You are free to combine the pieces of equipment as you like to create the “that one” build. Now, we are introducing special themed sets of equipment into the game, which are called “Sets”, and which can be collected in special activities.

Putting on all the items from any “set”, you get a powerful bonus to characteristics. The bonus that this or that set gives is displayed in the description of the items.

In addition, the game now has amulets that are suitable for several sets of armor at once. In this case, the description of the amulet will indicate which sets it is suitable for.

At the moment, the Set system will be applied only to Halloween equipment obtained in events in the Portal (more on that below), but in the future we will create other sets as well.

Boss Equipment Tiers

As you may have noticed in the images above, the Boss equipment can now be Tier 2. The main difference, of course, is the power of such items. Here’s an example for comparison:

On average, the item of the second Tier is 1.5 times more powerful than the first. And such power is not given just like that: upgrading such items is much more expensive.
And now the most important thing: if you already have items of Boss equipment, then your items will automatically become second tier (with the exception of items from the Tyrant Manticore and the Possessed Tree) with the same enhancement levels!

Halloween in Tartesia

Boo!

Okay, that’s it, we won’t scare you like that anymore. Let our new seasonal event do it for us. First in the history of Chaos Lords, please notice!
Halloween is taking place in Tartesia, and in this regard, the world of the game is having some changes:

  • Hero base. Residents of Tartesia worked hard and properly decorated the base for the holiday: garlands are hung on the trees, pumpkins are everywhere, and for some reason the night has not been replaced by day for quite a long time.
  • Map. There have also been visual changes on the Map, for example, witches can occasionally fly by on brooms, or bats might shoot forth somewhere. Instead of chests, pumpkins are scattered around the map, from which sweets fall out (more on this later). Also, look out, don’t get tangled up in the web;)

If you haven’t logged into the game yet, then hurry up and see for yourself all these changes. We will not attach screenshots of the base and map, so as not to spoil the surprise.

Now let’s move on to the sweetest thing — the new unique event outfit and how to get it.

From October 31 to November 28, 4 Events will take place in the Portal in turn:

  • Halloween: Eve.
  • Halloween: Midnight
  • Halloween: Night
  • Halloween: Dawn

During all these events, with the help of ordinary alchemy, you will have the opportunity to obtain items of equipment from the “Witch Hunter” set of medium armor of the first tier.

Here’s a preview of the stats:

The terrifying enchantment of Halloween has also influenced the way alchemy works.

To carry out a normal alchemical reaction, you will need to combine 100 Candy and 1 Pumpkin.

For the legendary reaction, you will need 10 Sweets and Jack’s Lantern.

Sweets and Candy are likely to be found everywhere throughout Tartesia:

  • in Pumpkins on the Map (on Halloween, our chests turn into pumpkins);
  • in Dungeons;
  • in the chests of your Guild;
  • from monsters groups roaming the Map;
  • and in the most common grind missions.

And yes, Candy has bad luck protection. Even if the Gods of Fortune really do not want to help you, sooner or later Candy will still drop for you in activity.
In addition, special Candy promotions are coming to the game starting October 31st — a great way to give yourself a head start when collecting Halloween sets and get tons of Candy!

Pumpkins can be found in the same place as Candy, but not only:

  • One Pumpkin can be obtained from the alchemy menu for free once a week;
  • Pumpkins are also sold in the store.

Jack’s Lantern is the rarest and most elusive reagent, for which it is highly regarded by alchemists. Jack’s Lantern can be purchased in the Portal.

For 4 weeks you will have the opportunity to enjoy the holiday and get unique event items. The entire Chaos Lords team hopes you enjoy this feature and that we will do more themed events in the future. Happy Halloween!

New Epic Hero — T’en Ta Krul

Meet our new, fearsome epic hero. A great match for Halloween.

This ghastly creature was once called Tenul. In those days he was known as a young, talented, extremely ambitious magician. But the thirst for power, such with which the Gods would have to reckon, tortured his mind. In his attempts to achieve such power, Tenul captured a monster with an unmatched ability for magic – the Beholder.
One day, the monster got out of control and attacked the gnome. The fierce battle ended in a monstrous explosion. In a hurricane whirlwind of spells, the souls of the magician and the monster scattered into thousands of fragments, and then fused together. So T’en Ta Krul was born – a hybrid of a beholder and a gnome.

His skills:

  • Grip of the Depths — T’en Ta Crul grabs the furthest opponent, pulls him forward and significantly lowers the target’s physical armor. Maximum number of targets increases at 10 and 20 ability level..
  • Mind Blast — When an enemy hero or a Boss uses an ability, T’en Ta Crul has a chance to launch devastating energy blast. The blast prioritizes the enemy with the highest intelligence and deals bonus damage based on the target’s intelligence. It also temporarily reduces the target’s intelligence and increases T’en Ta Crul’s intelligence until the end of combat.
  • Phantasmagoria — T’en Ta Krul summons the tentacles to the target area. The tentacles deal magic damage over time and silence (silence does not work on Bosses and Big Bosses) all enemies in the area. Phantasmagoria also fears all enemy soldiers in the area of effect.

Soul Stones Changes

In this update, we are significantly changing the process of obtaining Soul Stones and summoning the souls of Heroes from them.
In the last update, the process looked like this: players get Stones in various activities and summon souls from them in the Mage Tower for gold, getting a certain number of Heroes’ souls.

We have made changes to several aspects of this process at once:

  • The number of Stones dropped to the player has been reduced;
  • Now you can open the Stone and summon the Souls of Heroes for diamonds, even if you do not have Soul Stones;
  • Any Soul Stones that you received during the game now open COMPLETELY for free. You don’t need to spend gold or diamonds.
  • The number of Hero Souls dropped from Stones has been increased.

These changes are intended to modify the economy of the Heroes’ Souls to better match the overall economy of the game. So, for example, it will be easier for novice players to accumulate gold, and the Souls of Heroes will become a truly coveted reward, which they should have been.

Visual changes to Legendary items and Boss equipment

Another small but very shiny change. We’ve added visual effects to your Legendary and Boss items and Outfits.

Shine as brightly as your gear!

Other changes

Heroes and Soldiers:

  • Soldiers now need 1.5x more experience to level up than heroes.
  • The ability to remove all effects from themselves (Cleanse) has been added to the following units:
    • Boss “Black Dragon” during the transition to the second phase;
    • Lunara. Equinox ability;
    • Sisters of Charity and their evolution. Skill “Tasty Bread”;
    • Rust Mages and their evolution. Skill “Acid Burn”.

Items, rewards:

  • Restricted the supply of “Daily Energy” giving +30 Energy. Now the offer is available only to players up to level 20, as a help for a beginner.
  • Increased crafting costs for Rare, Epic, and Legendary items.
  • The contents of “Deals” in the “Store” has been changed.
  • Reworked rewards from World Bosses upwards.
  • The rewards in the “Skirmish” have been greatly reduced, since some, not entirely honest, players used special software so that instead of them, it would endlessly play the “Skirmish” and earn them expensive resources. We believe that doing this gives some players an unfair advantage over others. List of changes:
    • Removed Citrinitas;
    • Removed legendary, epic and rare scrolls;
    • Removed legendary and epic dust;
    • Removed Arena Soul Stones;

Interface and account:

  • Redesigned Siege interface to be more informative.
  • The Shop interface has been changed in the Market style;
  • When making a purchase on the market or collecting daily bonuses, a pop-up window has been added to confirm receipt of the item.
  • Changed the display of the reduced price in special offers. “Value”, which was calculated in a special way, has been replaced with a more easily understandable “Sale”, where the difference in the old and new prices is displayed as a percentage. No more “Values” with four-digit percentages.
  • Added information about enemy power to the Wandering Monsters viewer on the Map. Bad surprises are no more.
  • Now, if a player writes to the game chat using our bot for Telegram, then next to his name there will be a [TG] tag. In addition, a hint was added “User sends messages via Telegram App”.

Bugfixes:

  • Mission rewards on the Map have returned to their original position. Do not run away anymore;)
  • The guild icons in the ratings have returned to their previous place. You too!
  • Fixed a bug with the use of Fernar’s ultimate ability at the start of auto-combat. He used to jump tight at his feet. We talked to him, he will not be like this again.
  • Removed that confusing bug where the red notification dot is blinking on the Heroes tab in the Armies menu, not on a Hero that can be upgraded.
  • Fixed a bug due to which after clicking on the player’s icon in the chat, his card with information sometimes did not open.
  • Fixed a bug due to which the “Black Dragon” could growl even when the sounds of the game and music were turned off in the settings. Yes, it is a very powerful dragon.
  • Fixed a bug due to which, when there is 1 siege token, the “Battle” button in the “Start Siege” menu would highlight the number 1 in red, as if you did not have a token.
